secure and private communications platform

ciphrtxt is a trustless, decentralized platform for secure and private communication. the ciphrtxt platform enables a new class of decentralized applications where users or applications can interact without compromising on security or privacy.

ciphrtxt provides strong end-to-end encryption so the content of messages remains secure in storage and transit. even the most sensitive information can be sent via ciphrtxt without disclosure and the integrity of the message can be verified by the recipient.

fundamentally there are three key cryptographic processes involved:

   using your public key somebody can derive an one-time encryption key which can only be subsequently derived with your private key

   unless you have the one-time encryption key you can't decrypt any information from the ciphertext

   the recipient can verify that the message is delivered intactd.

ciphrtxt ensures these two objectives are met by leveraging proven encryption algorithms including ECDH, AES and ECDSA.

ciphrtxt messages are encoded to support end-to-end privacy. the identity of the sender and recipient of any message are cryptographically secured along with any message metadata.

the result of this is simple... when you send a message nobody knows it but you and when you receive a message nobody knows it but you. To the rest of the world that message appears to be completely random data.

the ciphrtxt protocol and platform are constructed such that none of the components or peers on the network have to be trusted. the privacy and security are implemented in cryptography in the message format itself.

this is an important assumption because it allows messages to be exchanged freely amongst the peers of the network. even if many of these nodes were hostile they can't compromise the encryption. you don't have to have trust when nobody can break the encryption.

ciphrtxt belongs to a new class of decentralized platforms which support massive scale of deployment and utilize crypographic tokens to balance consumption and contribution.

anybody can host a node which participates in the ciphrtxt network and in fact the scalability, availability and responsiveness of the platform is enhanced by having multiple providers distributed about the planet.

ciphrtxt is a communication-centric platform supporting basic behaviors similar to email, instant messages, social messaging and presents an interface similar to a message queue system. application developers can rely on ciphrtxt to provide a secure and private substitute for insecure or proprietary protocols.

ciphrtxt is not intended to be a decentralized messaging application but rather a platform upon which other decentralized and traditional applications are built.
